Game Dog Guardian Available Dogs

Name: Graham

Sex: Male

Age: 3-4 years

Weight: 60 lbs.

ADOPTED!!

SPONSORED by the Martin Family!

Teddy Graham is a ladies man! (as you can see from the photo).  His volunteer handler at Pit Bull E.D.U. says when he hears a woman's voice his tail just starts a'waggin. He loves to help with laundry - and not in a good way. He'll need a strong leader and plenty of consistency to thrive. Our Graham cracker would prefer a home with a low to moderate energy level and one with some previous dog experience. Graham may live peacefully with another female dog if he can't be an only child, but would most definitely prefer to be the only animal in the house. Graham loves to just go with the flow and relax (and lay his big head in your lap to snooze). He's not a high energy dog, so he would do well in an apartment or with low to moderate exercise (though some of our volunteers say he would prefer no exercise at all!) Teddy Graham comes with a lifetime of free training by GDG trainers and with 10 weeks of Pit Bull E.D.U. training already under his belt! (Graham is featured here with Pinups for Pitbulls Founder, Little Darling!)

Name: Tumble

Sex: Female

Age: 3 years

Weight: 20 lbs.

ADOPTED!!

SPONSORED by the Phillips Family!

Tumble is as cute as they come! The size of a Boston Terrier (and missing her tail too!), she's built like a solid Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Tumble is a little shy, so she needs to go to a home with other dogs, but is learning how to take treats, walk on tile floors, and make eye contact to communicate. She LOVES going to daycare and playing with the other dogs, likes cats, and snuggling with her foster sisters. Tumble also enjoys trotting up and giving you a quick kiss on the hand and then trotting away - just a little something to say "I love you."

Name: Honey Badger

Sex: Female

Age: 14 months

Weight: 45 lbs.

Needs: Forever Home

Honey Badger is a hoot! She is just over a year old and is a puppy in a big girl body. She is learning all the proper house manners for a big bouncy girl and will settle down quickly with an ear scratch. Growing up in a shelter hasn't stopped her from learning all kinds of good social skills with dogs, cats, and people. She has excellent obedience skills, knows several tricks, and walks like an angel on a leash.

Gumby will need an outlet for her energy - a long walk, some weight pulling, agility, a long hike - anything to exercise her puppy mind and big girl body. She gets plenty of it in her foster home and she is growing into such an excellent girl! Honey Badger...are you ready to bring this little girl home or what!?!

Name: Buttons

Sex: Female

Age: 2 years

Weight: 45 lbs.

Needs: Forever Home

SPONSORED by Kay and Mat Adkins!

Cute as a button! Our little Buttons is a doll - she loves everyone and everything. She is in a foster home with a Boxer and (as you can see from the photo) a Shih Tzu and does well. Buttons is approximately 2 years old and weighs about 45 lbs.

She loves going to doggie daycare and meeting new people and dogs. Buttons is adorably outgoing and social. She requires minimal to moderate exercise, and will surely let you know (with a big ol' kiss) if you're not paying enough attention to her. She would do well in nearly any home and we're super excited to see her as a family pet some day.

Name: Francesca (Frannie Pants)

Sex: Female

Age: 2 years

Weight: 45 lbs.

Needs: Forever Home

SPONSORED by Kelli Shaw!

Francesca is our Southern Belle...but as you can see from her photo, she lets her goofy alter-ego "Frannie Pants" out quite a bit.
She's great with kids, cats, and other dogs...and enjoys sunbathing at doggie daycare as well as greeting people at the front door, going for a quick walk, and snuggles on the couch. Frannie also loves car rides where she can let her ears blow in the wind and get an ice cream cone from Sonic.

The dogs in our rescue program largely come from animal cruelty cases in the Midwest and nationwide. We believe that as the dogs overcome their less fortunate past, they can motivate and help people overcome obstacles through the power of the human-canine bond.
